This year will mark a new chapter in the life of the South 47. What was once a U-pick and then a pumpkin patch is now a community of farms comprised of several business working in the regenerative agricultural space. We are excited to engage the community once again this season through an on site farm stand and educational workshops. We are building an on-site farm stand (expected start early summer 2019) at the front entrance off 124th St where we will sell produce, heritage eggs and plants all grown on site. We will also be offering a variety of workshops, classes and experiences designed to teach about aspects of regenerative agriculture, market gardening and permaculture. The South 47 farms will be working together to provide the products found in the farm store. For more information go to the individual farms that make up the South 47. They include:

Farm Practices

We believe that the health of the ecosystem is paramount and make decisions with the whole system, not just the parts, in mind. The soil and water are the foundation of the ecosystem and healthy plants thrive when those two resources are cared for. We are a salmon-safe farm and all follow organic principles, though only one is certified. Three of the farms practice primarily no-till, human scaled market gardening. One is a permaculture nursery and education farm. Some farms incorporate livestock (chickens and pigs) into their operations. And the local coyote family will attest to the thriving ecosystem on the farm.
