Les Gourmands Farm is a one-acre organic no-till farm run in accordance with the natural cycles and nutrient capabilities of the surrounding ecosystem.
“Gourmand” in French is an affectionate term for someone who is heartily interested in good food. Les Gourmands Farm aims to produce the highest quality, best tasting, and most nutrient dense food to satisfy the gourmands in us all. Les Gourmands achieves this by feeding the soil and soil biology through a practice of remineralization of the soil with local inputs, no-till to maintain an abundant underground ecosystem, living mulch in our pathways, and care that all plants are receiving adequate nutrients, water, and sunlight.
We farm a range of Pacific Northwest-adapted vegetables and specialty grains, as well as ethnic greens such as amaranth and mustard, specifically chosen for their flavor. Our farm seeks to address the gap in our country’s food quality by restoring food taste, and intrinsically high nutrient content, to the forefront of agriculture.
