The Farm at Water’s Edge includes USDA certified organic U-Pick and P-Patch gardens. The farm is also home to a small herd of alpacas and llamas, goats, chickens, ducks, a rabbit, turkey, and guinea fowl. Our aim is to improve food access while educating the community about nutrition and the ways in which sustainable farming practices decrease negative human impacts on salmon.

Located at the Salmon Center beside the Theler Wetlands in Belfair, we provide hands-on education demonstrating how salmon, humans, and agriculture can coexist. We offer youth education through our Farm Stewards program and field trips. Our motto, “Pick what you need, Pay what you can,” emphasizes our goal of increasing access to fresh food through our pay-by-donation U-Pick program.

We are open for U-Pick daily during daylight hours. Alpaca fiber and eggs (which are not USDA certified organic) available during office hours (M-F 8 am-4 pm).

Farm Practices

Certified organic and focused on environmental sustainability, our goal is to produce food without negatively impacting salmon habitats and human health. We cycle nutrients on the farm, fertilizing with alpaca/llama manure and composting our farm waste. Farm at Water's Edge runs on volunteer support and we incorporate educational components whenever we can so that those eating the food we grow and helping keep the farm running understand how and why we farm the way we do.
