Phillip Moore founded Courage to Grow Farms LLC. with the idea of supporting his family through farming, while also creating a more sustainable way of living. The idea started in 2018 with the book, “The Urban Farmer,” by author and farmer Curtis Stone.

In 2019, we cleared out the living room of our house for starts. Without land to farm, we found four different plots in our community.

We have just commenced our 20 week CSA program providing doorstep delivery to 50 homes with success! We have given thousands of pounds to local non-profits in just a few short years.
We will now offer a CSA doorstep delivery program to 200 homes through winter. It is our goal to create a new food system, using regenerative agriculture on small plots of land; not only feeding the people but fueling the land for generations to come. Let’s build this local, sustainable, courageous movement together!

Farm Practices

We believe regenerative agriculture and no-till methods in farming are imperative to the future of humanity. Our goal is to focus on a system of farming principles and practices that increases biodiversity, enrich soils, and enhance the ecosystem. Regenerative Agriculture aims to capture carbon in soil and aboveground biomass, reversing current global trends of atmospheric accumulation. We aim to be zero-waste, including all of our packaging. Our CSA customers just swap their reusable bag each week for a fresh new one replaced with veggies farmed here, locally.
