Carnation Farms is a nonprofit organization on a mission to transform the way that people want to eat. We celebrate delicious and nutritious food produced in a sustainable manner by providing inspirational and educational experiences that positively affect the health, the environment, and local economies. We develop the next generation of food citizens and grow new farmers.

If you are looking to source locally grown and raised food, here  are our current options.

Our farmstand operates like a small grocery store and is open seven days a week. It is stocked with chicken and turkey from Carnation Farms, as well as duck and quail from Tangled Willows Farm, rabbit from Red Hill Farm, and fish from Lummi Island Wild Co-Op. Our meat is certified organic, pasture-raised and supplemented with an organic, corn-free, soy-free, local diet.

The farmstand is also currently offering a delivery service of select items including chicken and duck. In the same retail space, Falling River Meat has a brick and mortar shop where they sell beef, lamb, goat, pork, and more – custom cuts are available as well as a CSA program. For more about them (they are a separate business) visit their website or Facebook page.

Holiday turkeys: to order a turkey in the fall, reservations and payment are made online, and customers pick up their turkey at the farm.

Farmers markets: when they return to the area this year, our chickens will be available at the Issaquah Farmers Market.

Poultry processing: we offer a processing service on site to give farmers and hunters a local processing option (for poultry and small animals). Reservations and payments are made online.

Farm Practices

From farm to forest to river, we believe that growing and harvesting food must be done in ways that contribute to a healthier environment. And we’re big believers that sustainable food is good food. Your mom would be proud: being responsible eaters and growers brings its own tasty reward.

CSA Details

  • Participating in the Carnation Farm CSA Program allows you to participate in our local food system by purchasing organic produce while knowing exactly how, where and by whom it was grown. Our Farm Share Program is based on the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model. CSA is a direct partnership between eaters (members) and farmers that keeps working agricultural land in production. Members support the farm by purchasing a Farm Share in advance of the harvest. This allows farmers to invest in the upcoming season at a time of year when cash flow is usually negative. Members’ investment in the farm is returned throughout the peak of the local growing season when they receive a variety of high-quality, fresh organic produce.
