Bow Hill Blueberries is a small farm run by a small family with a huge commitment to growing, handpicking and preserving heirloom blueberries organically. The majority of their bushes were planted in 1947. The Soltes family took over in 2011 after the original owners passed and began rejuvenating the soil and caring for each bush individually on the 65-year-old farm. In 2014 the farm officially became Certified Organic.
We’re passionate about taste and health.
At Bow Hill, we hand-harvest and craft all our products on the farm. Our fields are a safe place for our community to eat fresh blueberries right off the bush, and our farm is a healthy and just work environment for everyone.
Bow Hill is the oldest blueberry farm in Skagit Valley, Washington. Our heirloom varieties are the first blueberries to be brought in from the wild and planted in rows to be farmed. Small in size with thick, antioxidant-rich skin, these berries are the essential ingredient in our award-winning Organic Heirloom Pickled Blueberries, Organic Heirloom Cold Pressed Juice, and nutrient-packed Organic Heirloom Blueberry Powder.
Many of the 4500 bushes on the small 6-acre farm are celebrating their 71st birthdays this year.
