We are excited to announce we will hold the Lakewood Farmers Market this year in a new location: Fort Steilacoom Park.
In an effort to keep our vendors and community safe amid the public health crisis we are offering drive-thru and walk-thru options for our market visitors. Customers can either park and walk around the perimeter of the booths to purchase items, or they can drive through the middle of the market to pick up items they pre-ordered.
More information around how to pre-order will be made available as we get closer to opening night.
Beyond the new location and time, the market will look different that prior years. Initial vendors will focus on farm fresh produce and prepackaged food items. We will not have live entertainment and people are asked to make their way quickly through the market.
Farmers markets are currently allowed under Gov. Jay Inslee’s Stay Home, Stay Healthy order. We hope to be able to add more elements to the market, including additional vendors, as the state continues its rollback of closures and restrictions.
